Food stamps: April direct payments worth up to ,751 to begin in Delaware in one day

Delaware’s Sup­ple­men­tal Nutri­tion Assis­tance Pro­gram will begin send­ing April pay­ments worth up to $1,751 in one day.
The First State begins the dis­tri­b­u­tion of SNAP pay­ments on the sec­ond day of each month and has one of the longest dis­tri­b­u­tion win­dows in the Unit­ed States — pay­ments are dis­trib­uted for most of the month. The first let­ters of recip­i­ents’ last names deter­mine the issuance dates for their pay­ments.
April’s pay­ments will be dis­trib­uted from Tues­day to April 23.
To qual­i­fy for SNAP pay­ments in Delaware, a household’s income can­not exceed 200% of the fed­er­al pover­ty lev­el. A sin­gle-per­son house­hold can­not have a month­ly income above $2,266, and a house­hold of eight can­not make more than $7,772 month­ly.
