Trump hauls in over $50 mil­lion at Palm Beach fundrais­er

Pre­sump­tive Repub­li­can pres­i­den­tial nom­i­nee Don­ald Trump raised more than $50 mil­lion Sat­ur­day night at an event in Palm Beach, Flori­da.
The event, host­ed by bil­lion­aire investor John Paul­son, set a record for a sin­gle fundrais­er, near­ly dou­bling the mon­ey Pres­i­dent Joe Biden’s cam­paign col­lect­ed last week at Radio City Music Hall in New York, where he was joined by for­mer Pres­i­dents Bill Clin­ton and Barack Oba­ma.
“Tonight, we raised an his­toric $50.5 mil­lion for the re-elec­tion of Pres­i­dent Trump,” Paul­son said in a state­ment. “This sold-out event has raised the most in a sin­gle polit­i­cal fundrais­er in his­to­ry. This over­whelm­ing sup­port demon­strates the enthu­si­asm for Pres­i­dent Trump and his poli­cies.”
