Trump laments ‘short period of time’ to prep for hush money trial

For­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump took to Truth Social Sun­day to bemoan the tim­ing of his New York crim­i­nal tri­al.
Trump’s New York tri­al was ini­tial­ly slat­ed to begin jury selec­tion on March 25, but it was delayed to Mon­day due to the motions filed by Trump’s lawyers. They ini­tial­ly asked for a 90-day delay to review the doc­u­ments hand­ed down by fed­er­al pros­e­cu­tors, but they set­tled with Man­hat­tan Dis­trict Attor­ney Alvin Bragg for a 30-day delay.
“Judge Juan Mer­chan, per­haps the most high­ly con­flict­ed Judge in New York State his­to­ry, only gave us a short peri­od of time to read and study hun­dreds of thou­sands of pages of doc­u­ments that D.A.
