Liz Truss pulls for Trump because ‘the world felt safer when Trump was in office’

For­mer U.K. Prime Min­is­ter Liz Truss said she hopes for a sec­ond term for Don­ald Trump.
Truss appeared on Fox Business’s Var­ney and Co. on Fri­day, where she was asked if she was a “backer of Trump.” She was in office after Trump’s sec­ond term and about a year into Pres­i­dent Joe Biden’s term.
“Yes. I think he needs to win,” Truss said. “And peo­ple can see that across the world, that the world felt safer when Trump was in office than it feels now.”

The for­mer prime min­is­ter recent­ly released a book, Ten Years to Save the West where she dis­cuss­es how bureau­crats “cap­tured by the left” have dic­tat­ed soci­etal cul­ture. She expressed a need for politi­cians to alter the course of West­ern civ­i­liza­tion.
