Toxic environment: RFK Jr’s onetime climate allies don’t want him to be president

Sev­er­al of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‘s for­mer col­leagues at the Nat­ur­al Resources Defense Coun­cil, a cli­mate activist group, are call­ing on the inde­pen­dent pres­i­den­tial can­di­date to drop out of the race.
Kennedy pre­vi­ous­ly worked as a lawyer for the NRDC and has tout­ed his expe­ri­ence as an envi­ron­men­tal lawyer in his third-par­ty can­di­da­cy, which both for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump and Pres­i­dent Joe Biden are report­ed­ly con­cerned could hurt their elec­toral odds. The polit­i­cal arm of the group, which has endorsed Biden, announced Fri­day that it will be run­ning full-page adver­tise­ments against RFK Jr. in six news­pa­pers in swing states on Sun­day.
