Bernie Sanders-found­ed group to host ‘Squad’ event to take on AIPAC fundrais­ing

A pro­gres­sive group found­ed by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I‑VT), Our Rev­o­lu­tion, will host a town hall on Mon­day look­ing to stall the Amer­i­can Israel Pub­lic Affairs Committee’s efforts to fund elec­tions across the coun­try.
The town hall will fea­ture “Squad” mem­bers Reps. Ilhan Omar (D‑MN), Jamaal Bow­man (D‑NY), and Prami­la Jaya­pal (D‑WA), among oth­ers. The event will aim to “shore up defens­es against well-fund­ed cor­po­rate lob­by­ists.”

The group’s new cam­paign is called “Com­mit­ted to Coun­ter­ing the Rise in Rightwing, Anti-Peace Lob­by­ing, Includ­ing AIPAC’s $100 Mil­lion Cam­paign to Unseat Can­di­dates Call­ing For a Per­ma­nent Cease­fire,” accord­ing to Fox News.
