Pres­i­dent Joe Biden will speak to the nation from Tri­an­gle, Vir­ginia, to com­mem­o­rate Earth Day at 2:15 p.m. 
Biden is expect­ed to announce $7 bil­lion in grant fund­ing for solar pow­er under the Infla­tion Reduc­tion Act and new steps toward high­light­ing his administration’s Cli­mate Corps — a pro­gram pop­u­lar with youth cli­mate groups. Biden launched a recruit­ing web­site for the Cli­mate Corps on Mon­day.

Biden hopes to ral­ly young vot­ers, who view cli­mate change as a top sub­ject in this year’s elec­tion, with his cli­mate change mes­sag­ing and pol­i­cy. Young vot­ers proved cru­cial to Biden’s 2020 elec­tion vic­to­ry, and the pres­i­dent will look to them again in 2024.
