‘Elites’ don’t want you to vote

There is no lack of polls in an elec­tion sea­son. Some track the pres­i­den­tial race on a dai­ly basis, oth­ers Pres­i­dent Joe Biden’s approval rat­ings.
But one to watch is the track­ing of “elites” by Scott Rasmussen’s RMG Research. The one-per­centers real­ly aren’t like the rest of us, and Rasmussen’s results show that the urban, wealthy class doesn’t think like us, either.

Just con­sid­er their reac­tion to this ques­tion: “Would it be bet­ter or worse for Amer­i­ca if only peo­ple with a col­lege degree were allowed to vote?” Some 69% of elites said it would be bet­ter. Over­all, among all vot­ers, just 15% said it would be bet­ter.
Ras­mussen said, “This is a clear rejec­tion of the found­ing ideals of self-gov­er­nance. It is clear­ly a rejec­tion of the idea that gov­ern­ments derive their author­i­ty only from the con­sent of the gov­erned. And on top of that, I would argue that this shows an incred­i­ble faith in ‘cre­den­tial­ism.’ …
