Demo­c­ra­t­ic lawyer slammed Fani Willis as ‘utter embar­rass­ment’ for not tak­ing her­self off Trump case

Demo­c­ra­t­ic attor­ney Julian Epstein called Ful­ton Coun­ty Dis­trict Attor­ney Fani Willis’s han­dling of for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump‘s rack­e­teer­ing elec­tion case an “utter embar­rass­ment” on Thurs­day. 
On Fox News’s Bri­an Kilmeade Show, the Demo­c­ra­t­ic strate­gist said Trump was in the “right” to appeal the case because of Willis’s han­dling of it. Willis came under fire for appoint­ing Nathan Wade as spe­cial pros­e­cu­tor, with whom she had a roman­tic rela­tion­ship.
“Well, I think if Fani Willis had any real inter­est in this case, she would resign or recuse her­self from it,” Epstein said. “This is an utter embar­rass­ment.”
“In my opin­ion, this was a kick­back scheme, where she hired a boyfriend who was then pro­vid­ing her all kinds of ben­e­fits,” he said. “I think those are very hard to believe.
