The short reign of CNN’s King Charles has come to an end as the network announced that the show’s limited run is over.
The weekly talk show, co-hosted by CBS Mornings’s Gayle King and TNT’s Charles Barkley, had been announced last year to debut in November, and it finished its final episode on Wednesday. The network says it is happy with the show’s performance, adding that it brought in new viewers for CNN.
“King Charles has come to the end of its limited run, as we announced when it launched last fall, and was a great addition to CNN’s lineup, with the youngest, most affluent, and most diverse P2+ audience in its cable news time period,” a statement from a network spokesperson to the Washington Examiner read.
