Biden Cam­paign Rolls Out Nick­name For Trump; Strate­gists Say That’s A Bad Idea

The Biden cam­paign is tak­ing a page from for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump’s play­book, rolling out a nick­name for the president’s polit­i­cal rival as the 2024 race heats up.
In an email to sup­port­ers on Thurs­day, the Biden-Har­ris cam­paign referred to Trump as “Broke Don,” copy­ing a strat­e­gy made pop­u­lar by the for­mer pres­i­dent dur­ing his 2016 and 2020 cam­paigns. Team Biden’s nick­name for Trump comes after the Democrat’s cam­paign report­ed a mas­sive fundrais­ing edge over Trump and the Repub­li­can Nation­al Com­mit­tee (RNC).
