Rep. Andy Harris calls for the lifting of red tape to help rebuild Baltimore bridge

Rep. Andy Har­ris (R‑MD) said on Wednes­day that the state of Mary­land and the fed­er­al gov­ern­ment need to reduce the “envi­ron­men­tal and reg­u­la­to­ry bur­dens” to help expe­dite the recon­struc­tion of Baltimore‘s Fran­cis Scott Key Bridge.
“As we first con­cen­trate on recov­er­ing the vic­tims, it is impor­tant that both the State and Fed­er­al gov­ern­ments work togeth­er to imme­di­ate­ly reduce the envi­ron­men­tal and reg­u­la­to­ry bur­dens that would hin­der the rapid recon­struc­tion of the Key Bridge,” Har­ris said.
