House Dems Intro­duce Bill To Rename Fed­er­al Prison After Trump

Days after House Repub­li­cans pro­posed renam­ing the Wash­ing­ton Dulles Inter­na­tion­al Air­port after for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump, Democ­rats intro­duced a bill seek­ing to put Trump’s name on a dif­fer­ent place: a fed­er­al prison.
Reps. Ger­ry Con­nol­ly (D‑VA), John Gara­men­di (D‑CA), and Jared Moskowitz (D‑FL) intro­duced leg­is­la­tion on Fri­day that would change the name of the Mia­mi Fed­er­al Cor­rec­tion­al Insti­tu­tion — which is the clos­est fed­er­al prison to Trump’s Flori­da home at Mar-a-Lago — to “Don­ald J. Trump Fed­er­al Cor­rec­tion­al Insti­tu­tion,” The Hill report­ed.
