A state pros­e­cu­tor has been appoint­ed in an inves­ti­ga­tion into Geori­ga Repub­li­can Lt. Gov. Burt Jones’s alleged role in attempts to over­turn the 2020 pres­i­den­tial elec­tion in the Peach State.
The Pros­e­cut­ing Attor­neys’ Coun­cil of Geor­gia announced on Thurs­day that its exec­u­tive direc­tor, Peter Skan­dalakis, has been appoint­ed to inves­ti­gate if Jones vio­lat­ed any crim­i­nal laws. No fur­ther com­ment was giv­en on the inves­ti­ga­tion.
