Sen. J.D. Vance (R‑OH) said it would be “a great honor” to help Donald Trump as a running mate.
Vance appeared on Fox News’s The Ingraham Angle on Thursday to address reports that he is on Trump’s short list for vice president. Others believed to be on the list include Sen. Tim Scott (R‑SC), Gov. Kristi Noem (R‑SD), Rep. Byron Donalds (R‑FL), former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R‑FL), and Gov. Greg Abbott (R‑TX).
“I have actually never spoken to the president about VP speculation,” Vance said. “My simple answer is, I want to help him however I can. If he asks me, of course I would think seriously about it. It would be a great honor. I also am happy to support the agenda in the United States Senate.”
